Aim high and be an inspirational leader, advises Diane Palmer, winner of the 2017 RCNi nurse awards innovation category
Diane Palmer worked in a range of mental health and learning disability services before moving into military mental health. She spent several years at the Ministry of Defence and set up a specialist community team for veterans in Essex. She created a universal passport to help ex-service personnel receive joined-up care. For this she won the RCNi Nurse Awards 2017 innovations category.
