A nurse has written a book to help patients talk about organ donation with loved ones, especially young children

Sitting down with a patient’s close family members, my thoughts turned to how they must be feeling since finding out that their loved one was going to die. They had known for a day or so by this point, and I wondered if they could believe what was happening. I also wondered if they had thought about organ donation.
