The form of cancer for which most life-years are lost, brain tumour is rare but its survival rate is low
Though brain tumours are rare, survival rates are low, resulting in the most life-years lost of any cancer, according to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). They are also notoriously difficult to diagnose, with symptoms found in non-cancerous conditions such as migraine or epilepsy.
