Individuals’ differing life experience can make group-based tasks quite a challenge, but it’s a great way to develop teamwork skills
Nursing students should be exposed to a variety of learning experiences, says the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Among these should be group work. At the University of Cardiff, students are put into groups of eight from the start of their studies and generally work with them throughout their course, says lecturer in adult nursing Chris Munro.
