Model author Nancy Roper dies

Tributes have been paid to Nancy Roper, a prolific author of nursing textbooks who died last week. Pictured at this year’s RCN congress with members of the college’s association of nursing students, Ms Roper is best known as the co-author of the Models of Nursing books in the 1980s. RCN executive director Alison Kitson said: ‘Nancy was an inspiration to her profession. She combined clear thinking with compassion and has left a treasured legacy through her work around activities of daily living in nursing.’ See obituary page 31
