NHS at 70: What does the future hold?

Today’s NHS deals with about a million patients a day, employing roughly 1.5 million people in the UK. The institution, which turns 70 on 5 July, is held in such high public esteem that it featured as part of the opening ceremony for the London Olympics in 2012.
