What is an action plan and why do I need one?

Action plans can help you focus on goals and improve your clinical skills, and need not be seen as a negative step

An action plan is a step-by-step guide to support someone to reach one or more clear goals. They are used in practice and academic settings to help nursing students. In nursing education what the plans are called can vary, with some universities calling them personal development plans.
