In this, the first print issue of Nursing Management in 2019, our front cover article focuses on staff perceptions of changes to clinical products and their procurement. Author Clare Donohoe, who is a clinical procurement specialist nurse for a care provider in London, argues that how clinical products are chosen is increasingly being managed centrally (page 26). It is therefore essential that clinical staff discuss these changes or they may be imposed.
