RCN publishes updated guide to safeguarding children

College highlights the importance of staff learning how to identify and prevent harm to young people

Guidance on safeguarding and what to do if a nurse has concerns about child protection has been published by the RCN. The framework, produced in collaboration with 20 other healthcare organisations, including the Institute of Health Visiting, provides guidance on protecting children and young people, and what to do if they come to harm.
