Remembering Dame Elizabeth Fradd, a champion for children and young people

Mark Whiting Consultant editor, Nursing Children and Young People

There have been many tributes paid to Dame Elizabeth Fradd who sadly died on 12 May on her 75th birthday. Widely respected among her peers, she was the only nurse to simultaneously hold fellowships of the RCN, the Institute of Health Visiting, the Queen’s Nursing Institute and an honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
