Robert Mirow explores the use of music in helping people to open up about their feelings

Encouraging clients with challenging behaviour to open up and express themselves can be difficult. This article describes the author’s consultations with a female client with a learning disability, and how the use of song helped to develop a rapport, giving the client the confidence to talk about her anxieties and private thoughts.
