The Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) has issued guidance for staff working in inpatient settings to improve support for all those involved in an ‘incident’, which the guidance defines as ‘a highly emotive interaction or event that might cause ongoing stress or distress, sometimes caused by a need not being met’.
