In response to mounting concern that little has been done to provide appropriate services for people from minority ethnic communities, a new framework has been launched. Alex Mathieson reports

There are few issues in the field of learning disabilities on which everyone - government, service users and carers, service providers, professionals and voluntary organisations – agrees. But one issue seems to have gained universal consensus – not enough is being done to provide appropriate services for people with learning disabilities who come from minority ethnic communities.
