A lack of standardised assessment procedures and variations in experience is hindering service provision, say Fleur-Michelle Coiffait and Keith Marshall

This article describes a study that examined how the largely unmet mental health needs of people with learning disabilities were being identified and met by a Scottish community learning disabilities team. It identifies barriers to recognising and responding to these needs, and how services could be improved.
