Guided imagery is a cognitive intervention using the imagination for which children potentially make good subjects because they respond naturally and spontaneously. In response to articles appearing in the nursing literature concerning guided imagery as a therapeutic nursing intervention, a review of the literature was carried out to explore the possible benefits.
