Third-year students are still focused on giving good care

As a third-year nursing student, I would like to respond to claims that we have lost the ability to care (news April 16). I have wanted to become a nurse for a long time and I hold the profession in high regard. I have undertaken each placement with a view to developing as a professional, but I do not feel this is at the expense of the core reason why I chose to embark on this career.
