I have been closely involved in the work on Facing the Future, the review of health visiting, and in the government’s response launched last month by MP Ann Keen. The recommendations are sensible: value public health nursing, focus on young children and families, acknowledge the role of home visiting and prioritise issues close to the heart of families.
