The term ‘trans’ has a wider meaning than ‘transgender’
My letter on the London Pride parade (letters August 6) was edited so that the word ‘trans’ was changed to ‘transgender’. But ‘trans’ tends to encompass the whole gender spectrum, whereas ‘transgender’ is limited to one section of service users.
