As we embark on a new year, it is natural to reflect on the events of the past 12 months. In so doing, I want to convey a message of hope. Without doubt, the past year has been strange and challenging for us all, but as the year ended I had grounds for optimism. I had the pleasure of hosting a webinar attended by more than 600 nurses working in cancer care to explore the challenges presented by COVID-19 and how staff have responded to them (news, page 6).
