Katherine Wilkinson
Barbara Williamson Are continence advisers, A iredale NUS Trust

Incontinence is still a taboo subject, made even more difficult for women from minority ethnic groups who find accessing services difficult. Katherine Wilkinson and Barbara Williamson describe the production of an information video, which made them joint winners in the continence nursing category, sponsored by Bard

Based at Keighley Health Centre, we job share as community continence advisers for Airedale NHS Trust. The patch we cover is close to the Yorkshire Dales and includes a mixture of urban and rural areas. Keighley is a multicultural town with a total population of around 59,800. There are over 6,000 Pakistani and Bangladeshi people, mainly living in the inner areas of the town.
