How one trust’s care pathway reduced the number of amputations and waiting times for treating patients
Improvements to the foot wound care service at my trust have led to a reduction in the number of necessary amputations being carried out. Three major amputations were avoided within the first six weeks of them being put in place last November. This is a bonus for patients and clinical practice alike.
