Preventing falls

Derrick Tait Senior nurse, Bridgeview Care Centre, Choppington, Northumberland

A learning zone article encouraged Derrick Tait to make changes in his workplace to avoid falls

I work in a nursing home and care for older patients who are at increased risk of falls. In addition, some patients have dementia, Parkinson’s disease or have had a stroke.
