Integrated assessment of older adults who misuse alcohol

Alcohol misuse in older adults has been referred to as a ‘silent epidemic’. National strategies for substance misuse advocate an integrated approach to care. This article considers the principles of an integrated assessment for older people who misuse alcohol and how this approach can improve access to services for older adults.
