Assessment of a patient with an acute exacerbation of asthma

This article is a reflective account of the respiratory assessment of a patient experiencing an acute exacerbation of asthma in hospital. The patient’s signs and symptoms are examined and an analysis of the respiratory assessment and the patient’s treatment is provided.
