Wilfred McSherry and Linda Ross want the NMC to reconsider a ‘fundamental omission’ in the new code

The Nursing and Midwifery Council’s new code of conduct came into effect on March 31. The NMC undoubtedly consulted widely on the updated Code, capturing a range of views to ensure it is relevant and fit for purpose. However, it soon became clear that there was no reference to the ‘spiritual’ part of the person, or to ‘spirituality’.
