What do you understand is the purpose of a chidren’s hospice? The following quotes are from interviews conducted with parents who have used hospice services for children: I thought a hospice was just another word for a hospital with lines of beds’; ‘I expected a hospital with wards and a bed with a locker’; 'My idea was that it was a hospital where you went to die’; ‘Hospices were for children who were terminally ill.’
