Nurses could be used as a resource to provide direct workplace support for people with learning disabilities who are also autistic

It is widely accepted that having equality and diversity in healthcare provision is important. Indeed, it is seen as a major part of the solution to the challenges facing the health service – the theory being that the more diverse the workforce, the more talented and innovative those teams will be.
