Although people with learning disabilities may be entitled to a number of welfare benefits depending on their employment situation and their personal wealth, they often miss out on their entitlements because the benefits system is difficult for people with such problems to negotiate. This article describes how the system works and provides information to help staff ensure that clients get all the benefits they are supposed to.
