Dyslexia, dyspraxia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Asperger syndrome and autism have traditionally been defined and treated separately. New genetic research suggests there may be significant overlaps in these conditions. The findings are providing a fresh understanding of these disorders and could lead to new avenues for their treatment.
