Sexuality in gynaecological cancer patients

Sex remains an important contributor to quality of life in many patients with chronic illness and their partners. Thus, addressing sexuality is the responsibility of every healthcare professional. This article describes why one cancer network applied the PLISSIT model to the nursing assessment and intervention of sexuality and cancer as a standard protocol.
