After backlogs due to COVID-19, people with cancer need to know we are ready to advise, care and listen to them

At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, community and acute service providers consistently said that the NHS would continue to be ‘open for business’ for people with cancer. However, referral rates to cancer services fell significantly and screening programmes were paused during the first wave.
