Constructive hope could help nurses respond appropriately to someone who is seriously ill

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, the word ‘hope’, is ‘something good that you want to happen in the future, or a confident feeling about what will happen in the future’. An understanding of the role hope plays in protecting us all in times of crisis could help nurses and all healthcare professionals respond accurately and appropriately to a patient’s need for help.
