Nurse specialist Ruth Roddison introduced acupuncture to reduce patients’ post-operative nausea and vomiting. The technique has been so effective it is being rolled out across the trust, and with patients in the community

Inpatient pain team lead Ruth Roddison introduced the use of Acupins – small acupuncture pins on a fabric backing – to reduce post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement or hysterectomy.
