THE DEBATE at RCN Congress on institutional racism in the college had a profound effect on many people anger, sadness, resentment, shock, fear. And with the emotions came an immense amount of confusion. What does all this mean? How do I deal with this now? Many people felt threatened by the suggestion that they might have unwittingly contributed to institutional racism or that they might be prejudiced in some way.
