A smile policy – what a good idea (news June 28). I teach customer care to all grades of staff and encourage people to smile even when talking on the phone. Smiling is reflected in the voice. The old saying ‘Smile, and the whole world smiles with you’ is spot on. Try it and see. A smile is sometimes more beneficial than a conversation.
