My mother Irene Haddrell (née Jones) SRN, SCM, RFN, QN, known to her colleagues as Jonesy, was a credit to the nursing profession and one of the remaining fever nurses in the UK. She died peacefully at home in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, on February 18.
