Tattoos, piercings and dyed hair: what does ‘professional’ look like?
Some patients may find facial piercings or tattoos on nurses unsettling, but dress code rules are unclear and appearance does not affect ability to do the job
Having a tattoo does not make a nurse any less professional, brightly dyed hair has no impact on their competence, and piercings say nothing about an individual’s ability to care for their patients.
