Beneath the surface

Deborah Ralph , Night sister at Eastbourne Hospital

Deborah Ralph reflected on her work with people who have lupus after she read a continuing professional development article

I work in a medical assessment unit where it is rare, although not unheard of, for people who have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) to be admitted.

This article provided me with a framework for reflecting on the knowledge and attitudes I had towards lupus, and helped me to identify learning needs and formulate my plans for further study.
