Nurses must be able to recognise the early signs of foot problems to ensure they do not lead to serious conditions

The number of diabetes-related amputations in the UK is at record levels. More than 8,300 procedures were carried out last year, which equates to 23 minor and major amputations a day, or more than 160 a week.
