Advice for nurses on how to prevent, detect and treat cellulitis, an acute bacterial infection common in summer

Cellulitis is an acute infection in the deeper layers of the skin, including the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It occurs when a break in the skin allows bacteria to enter. The area can become hot, swollen and painful.
