Purchaser plurality in UK health care is a consensus emerging and is it the right one?

The authors analyse the various models in use for purchasing health care, including the different forms of GP fundholding. They argue that the general convergence of views does not amount to a consensus over an adequate model of NHS purchasing. They demonstrate that current models fall short of satisfying important criteria and discuss oilier potential models which seek to redress these, limitations.
