Cancer Research UK (CRUK) has launched a patient and public involvement (PPI) toolkit for researchers, to support planning and the use of involvement activities. The toolkit explains the importance of PPI, its value to research and how to include research in PPI plans for funding committees. It also includes resources for planning, conducting and evaluating involvement in research activities, and advice on communicating with the people involved. CRUK also offers support from its patient involvement and communications team.
