I was in Manchester last month at NHS England’s Health and Care Innovation Expo 2018: two days of theatre sessions, workshops and feature zones. There were also scores of exhibitors from the fields of IT and digital technology so it was unsurprising that health and social care secretary Matt Hancock was at the event to serve up his ‘vision for a more tech-driven NHS’.
