More girls than boys have depression
Almost one in four girls and one in ten boys aged 14 are depressed, researchers have found. They also question whether parents know the true extent of what they call ‘worrying’ levels of depression among teenage girls after finding a discrepancy between, self-reported symptoms and the views of parents.
