Is children’s healthcare back on the map for good or just for the summer?
It has been a busy summer for announcements about children’s healthcare, and you could be forgiven for thinking that the care of children and young people is finally getting the attention it deserves. It was announced, for example, that the human papillomavirus vaccine is about to be extended to 12 to 13-year-old boys in England, Wales and Scotland, with Northern Ireland likely to follow suit.
