Insect bites and dog bites can often trigger cellulitis infection in the summer, but there are other causes

Cellulitis is an acute bacterial infection of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It occurs when a break in the skin allows microorganisms to enter, and is characterised by pain, warmth, swelling and redness.
