One episode of care illustrates the importance of NHS England’s 6Cs to staff working in emergency services

Care and compassion are not synonymous with emergency department (ED) care in the national press. Instead, EDs are portrayed as places of suffering or arduous waits and staff are frequently criticised for the number of people waiting for more than four hours to be seen. It is as if the only service that matters is a quick one.
