Exercise can help postnatal women but what is the nature of the benefits, and what types of exercises give good results? These are questions that a team, led by nurse researcher Shanthi Ramasubramaniam, attempted to answer in a study of 84 mothers who had babies at the Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in southern India.
