Jingles hell

David Newnham is turned off by slogans

Everywhere I go there are voices repeating mantras and they are driving me crazy. ‘Keep your bags with you at all times,’ they say. ‘Calls may be recorded for training purposes.’ ‘Terms and conditions apply.’ And everything is for my ‘safety and comfort’. Is this why so many people wear earphones?
