Diana

Princess of Wales

Nurses throughout the world have paid tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, whose strong sense of caring and willingness to champion often unpopular causes endeared her to nurses everywhere.

As the director general of nursing of the hospital in Lahore I escorted Diana around the unit. She spoke to everyone, not just those presented to her, and gave comfort to patients and their families. The Pakistan nurses were instantly drawn to the Princess, her warmth and caring nature. She was unique and her kindness will be missed by all nurses in Pakistan.
